AKC Meet the Breeds Bingo encourages Responsible Pet Ownership with questions like True or False: “Dogs/cats need their teeth brushed?” and hints were provided to help kids answer each question. Upon completion, kids received a goody bag complements of the American Pet Products Association and the Pets Add Life Poetry Contest, filled with items donated by the AKC and TICA.

TICA Cats Join AKC Dogs at Meet the Breeds

TICA has been invited by the American Kennel Club® (AKC) to join forces when they return to the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on November 19th & 20th to host the third annual AKC Meet the Breeds® event. It’s the world’s largest gathering of dogs and cats, with more than 160 breeds of dogs and 50 breeds of cats on hand for animal lovers to see in person.
Cat lovers who attend AKC Meet the Breeds will have the rare opportunity to see most of the breeds of cats TICA recognizes including the world’s most popular breed of cat, the Bengal, in person.

Kids can pretend to be in the wild and pet a Toyger cat that resembles a tiger but has the sweet personality of a domestic kitten, the “bunny rabbit” of the feline world-the Cymric-and many more breeds including the Maine Coon, Persian, Sphynx, Havana Brown and more!

AKC Meet the Breeds is sponsored by PetPartners, Inc. a leading pet healthcare provider. Not only is it the world’s largest showcase of dogs and cats but AKC Meet the Breeds offers pet lovers a unique opportunity to play with some of the country’s rarest dog and cat breeds while educating themselves about responsible pet ownership and choosing the right pet for their lifestyle.
