Letter from Vickie

Hello all!
Well, we're more than a month into the new show season. On top of that, it's almost summer, and June is time to adopt a cat or kitten.

We've listened to your suggestions about the newsletter, and this month we want to introduce articles on a breed - the captivating Thai - and how to care for your cats.

We'd also like to share information on judging appointments, and announce a new fun contest...if you advertise in the Yearbook; you are automatically entered to win three exciting gifts!

So enjoy this issue of TICA's newsletter, and don't forget...the Annual and Awards Banquet is just around the corner!

Happy Showing,
Vickie Fisher

Featured Breed: The Captivating Thai

The Thai is the breed dedicated to preserving the native pointed cat of Thailand in as close to its original form as possible. Thai is the official breed name in TICA and in many registries in Europe, but the breed is known in Thailand itself as the Wichienmaat and elsewhere as the "Old-Style Siamese."
