Letter from Vickie
I can't believe that in just a few weeks we will be ending
another show season! Time flies.
The 2011-2012 show season has been exciting and I personally
can't wait to see who our new International and Regional
winners will be, and which kittens from this show season
go on to be some of next show season's winners.
In true TICA form, we've expanded our presence worldwide,
either forming new clubs in various countries or cities,
or clubs hosting their first shows in their communities.
TICA has seen a lot of changes during this show season,
but with the end of this show season, a new one starts that
will be filled with a lot of new, and exciting, opportunities.
Please remember that TICA's Annual Awards Banquet and
Championship Cat Show isn't just for the previous year's
winners, it's a time to celebrate your cats, your friends'
wins and TICA. Make sure to put this year's event on your
calendar.
I look forward to seeing you and your fabulous felines!
Purrs,
Vickie Fisher
TICA President

Showcase Your Cats at Meet the Breeds 2012
In just six months TICA will be in New York City, co-hosting
Meet the Breeds with the American Kennel Club (AKC)
on October 20-21, 2012. If you'd like to participate and
help showcase your breed, contact your Breed Committee Chair.
Each breed is represented by a breed booth, where cat
lovers can meet breeds that they admire and have never had
a chance to see in person! Last year more than 40,000 people
attended the event, and TICA and its fabulous felines were
featured on TV and in other publications.
If you can help out, email or talk to your
Breed Committee Chair today!

Meet the...Ragdoll
What captivates people when they see their first Ragdoll
are the magnificent blue eyes and silky coat.
One of the largest breeds of cats, the Ragdoll is often
compared to dogs not just because of their size, but because
of their friendly personalities and how they love to play
with other cats and children.
They're so laid back that even the youngest child can
carry them around in their arms, making their name perfect
for the breed.

TICAU: The Place Cat Lovers Need to Visit
How many times have you had new cat owners or cat lovers
at shows ask you how to trim nails? Bathe a cat? What to
feed?
Now you can help them out by sending them to
TICA University.
Not only are there videos about how to clip nails, grooming
and other "how to" information, but fun articles about authors,
artists, nutritional treats and more.
Tell cat lovers no matter their age, to visit TICAU.

Share TICA News with Cat Lovers
If you receive the TICA Trend and don't keep your issues,
don't throw them away! Share them with cat lovers in your
community! Great ways to do that is by:
- Taking them to cat shows so cat lovers can look
at them in the benching area
- Take them to your veterinarian's office
- Donate them to your local library
- Give them to your children's school or class
