Letter from Vickie
It's October. For some of us it's the beginning of fall
while for our friends living in the southern hemisphere,
its summer! No matter what season it is, we're now well
into this show season as marked by last month's Annual Awards
Banquet.
Now it's time to move on towards ... I can't believe
I'm saying this ... the New Year! But before we start thinking
about 2013 and the "second half" of the 2012-2013 show season,
we're working feverishly on this year's Meet the Breeds
co-hosted with the American Kennel Club (AKC). In just a
few short days after a full year of planning, the largest
gathering of cats and dogs will be in full swing on October
20 and 21 in New York City.
Last year over 40,000 animal lovers attended Meet the
Breeds and this year we're planning on it being bigger and
better! Banners are already hanging around the city promoting
the event, and we can't wait for cat lovers to visit the
TICA booth and see the fabulous display that Helmi and Ken
Flick have so graciously worked on for us! We don't want
anyone to miss out so you can see them for yourself below.
We're so excited that FELIDAE Natural Cat Foods is sponsoring
TICA's Parade of Breeds, Sturdi Products is a key sponsor
of the 2012 Meow Wear Kitty CATure Fashion Show, and the
Winn Feline Foundation is joining us at Meet the Breeds
this year.
We'll have announcements during Meet the Breeds, so watch
for more information as we head to NYC ... with our cats
in tow!
Con-catulations,
Vickie Fisher
TICA President
