TICA to Host Cat Show and Breed Meet & Greet
at Cat Fest Colorado
TICA and Dr. Elsey’s will sponsor two Cat Fest Colorado events this year and host a TICA cat show at each event.
- July 29, 2023, Cat Fest Colorado 2023, Colorado Springs Event Center
- November 12, 2023, Annual Cat Fest, National Western Complex in Denver, CO.
Last November’s Cat Fest drew more than 5,250 attendees and featured more than 80 cats at TICA’s cat show, this year the entry will likely be even larger. The event provides an opportunity to celebrate all things cat and inform a large audience of all TICA has to offer. In addition to the cat show, TICA will also host meet and greet opportunities for the public to learn about and interact with TICA’s breeds.
Once again, the event promises an entertaining lineup including celebrity cats ‘That Cat Pluto’ and ‘Adventure Cat Liebchen”. Also featured at the event will be a cat video café, feline adoptions, cat-themed vendors, face painters, a cat costume contest, "The Fantasy Felines" dance troupe, a cat trivia bowl, and feline crafts, including toys, masks, charms, among others.

49th Annual Texas Control Association Conference,
San Marcos, TX - November 12 -15, 2023
The Texas Animal Control Association (TACA) will hold its 49th Annual Conference in San Marcos, Texas, November 12 – 15, 2023 at the Embassy Suites Hotel, Conference Center, and Spa.
TACA is the oldest state association in the United States. This event is the most attended conference by city and county governments that have animal control/welfare departments and operate animal shelters in Texas.
TICA is a Sponsor of this event and will have a booth staffed by volunteers and friendly cats to interact with the attendees and share what TICA does for all cats.

Southwest Veterinary Symposium San Antonio, Texas
September 21 – 24, 2023
The Southwest Veterinary Symposium will once again welcome those that support veterinary medicine in the Southwest region to include: DVMs, Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Practice Mangers, Office Staff, Speakers, Sponsors and Exhibitors.
TICA will have a booth staffed by volunteers and friendly cats to interact with the attendees and share what TICA does for all cats.
The four-day event will include continuing education, exhibits, interactive labs as well as many other events.
VHMA 2023 Annual Meeting & Conference,
Glendale, Arizona - September 21-23, 2023
The 2023 VHMA “Connect and Collaborate” Annual Conference will take place September 21-23, 2023, at the Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa in Glendale, Arizona. The event is designed to connect veterinary management professionals and encourage collaboration via a broad range of poignant and relevant educational opportunities.
Participants can look forward to an inspiring keynote speaker, sessions led by industry experts, peer-led presentations, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and onsite interactions with exhibitors, partners, and supporters.
Attendees can receive 16.5 CE credits hours overall (17.5 hours for CVPMs).

TICA has again partnered with the International Professional Groomers, Inc. (IPG) to help more groomers learn about caring for cats.

Meet & Play with 73 Different Cat Breeds and 200 Dog Breeds August 25-27, 2023

TICA will join the International Kennel Club of Chicago (IKC) to bring the largest cat and dog extravaganza to Chicago this August. The TICA ShowCats Chicago Great American Cat Show and the IKC Great American Dog Show will take place August 25-27 at the McCormick Place Lakeside Center. This family-friendly event will offer Chicagoans the unique opportunity to meet and play with hundreds of different cats and dog breeds.
From TICA’s gentle giant Maine Coon and super cuddly Ragdoll to the exotic Bengal and Sphynx cats, Chicagoans will get the rare opportunity to pet and play with most of TICA’s 73 cat breeds while learning about their rich history and attributes that may or may not make them the right breed for their family.
The IKC’s Great American Dog Show and most of AKC’s 200 dog breeds will join TICA and an estimated 80,000 people to meet just about every dog breed and cat breed.
Visitors will have access to both the championship cat show and dog show, which will be held in the same location, but on two different levels of McCormick Place’s 600,000 square foot Lake Side Center. The event will also host many other family-friendly activities such as a bounce house, facepainting, and educational breed seminars including a cat care 101 seminar where kids can earn Cub Scout and Girl Scout patches. Show Exhibitors Win a Trip to the 2023 and/or 2024 TICA Annuals!
Exhibitors for this event will have a chance to win a trip to the 2023 and/or 2024 TICA Annuals, including three-night hotel stay, $500 to be used toward airfare, complimentary first entry, grooming space, and a ticket to the Annual Awards Banquet.
For each entry entered by midnight on August 1, 2023, there will be a random drawing for a trip to Tacoma to attend this year’s TICA Annual. The winner will receive the following:
- Up to $500 toward airfare,
- Three-night hotel stay at the show hotel,
- First show entry free
- Free Grooming space
- A ticket to the TICA Award Banquet
At the end of the 2023 TICA Annual, the combined scores from the TICA ShowCats Chicago Great American Cat Show will be combined with those from the 2023 Annual and the owner of the highest scoring feline will receive the same package as above for the 2024 TICA Annual in the Mid Atlantic Region.
