Knowledge Base - How do I verify documentation for pending entries?

The Club Is Using TOES

Pending entries will have a new icon in the entry clerk toolbar for each entry:

View documents

If you click on that icon, you can review the documents provided as proof of eligibility. Here is what you need to check:

  1. The document was issued by the organization selected by the exhibitor.
  2. The document was issued for the cat to be shown (e.g. matching names, names of parents).
OR the document was issued for the cat that was selected (in case of pedigree for sire or dam).

If you find the documents to be sufficient, you can approve them and accept the entry:

If you find the documents to be insufficient, you have to reject them. In that case the exhibitor will be notified and they can submit additional or corrected documents:

The Club Isn't Using TOES

If an exhibitor enters a cat with a pending registration number into a show, the exhibitor must send documentation to the entry clerk that shows that the cat is eligible for registration - meaning that they have certified pedigrees or registration certificates for both parents, or they have already applied for a registration of their cat somehow. Here is a complete list of documents which could be submitted by the exhibitor:

The following can be submitted to prove registration eligibility:

  1. A copy of your TICA registration application. This can be a screenshot of the tica.org ticket for the registration or a copy of the individual registration application.
  2. A copy of the TICA Breeder Slip for the cat.
  3. A copy of the TICA litter registration for your cat's litter.
  4. A copy of the pedigree for your cat issued by a recognized association.
  5. A copy of the pedigree or registration papers for both the sire and dam of your cat issued by a recognized association.
  6. A copy of other registration documents for your cat issued by a recognized association indicating the cat's breed

The entry clerk then needs to verify the documents. Here is what you need to check:

  1. The document was issued by the organization selected by the exhibitor.
  2. The document was issued for the cat to be shown (e.g. matching names, names of parents).
OR the document was issued for the cat that was selected (in case of pedigree for sire or dam).

If you find the documents to be sufficient, you can accept the entry.

If you find the documents to be insufficient, you have to reject them. In that case you need to notify the exhibitor and they can submit additional or corrected documents. Once the documents are acceptable, you can accept the entry.

Please note that all documents that you accepted must be sent to the Executive Office together with the master catalog. When submitting this information you must provide the following information:

  1. Catalog number of the cat.
  2. Name of the cat.
  3. Type of document that you accepted.
  4. Association that issued the document you accepted.
  5. The document itself.
